Indus Detroit is an international artist residency program that selects 4 – 6 artists each year to come live and work in the city of Detroit.

Shared Studio & Workspace.
We offer a shared studio and research space, able to accommodate a broad range of artistic activity.
Travel Funding.
Each resident is provided funding for a plane ticket to and from the residency program.
Shared Live Space.
Each resident is provided a private furnished bedroom with access to a shared bathroom, kitchen and sitting room.
Studio Visits.
On and offsite studio visits with area artists, curators and writers will be organized for all participating artists.
City Engagement Program.
To provide residents with an immersive experience in Detroit and encourage engagement with Detroit’s art community, each resident is asked to take part in the City Engagement Program a series of planned weekly activities that will include group visits/outings to local art galleries, museums and/other public spaces, and at least one communal meal a week with program director or founder.
